I'm having visions of fires in my bedroom on cold nights, of my brother's Chopin nocturnes floating out over the city, of long runs in the park on mornings when barely anyone is up, though perhaps you can't really wear leggings and a windbreaker outside in super-glamourous Paris, even in the very early mornings. I'm so excited! Does anyone have any advice for what to take - or leave behind? Advice for what we should do in the six months we live there? Please let me know!
:) really good post!
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you ^^
ReplyDeletewhat luck you have with the apartment! seriously. AMAZING luck. as for packing. GO light. you will want to shop and you need less than you think. the french are minimalists in terms of wardrobe - get creative. i came with 1 large suitcase, 1 carry on sized, and one day-pack (full of books) and I've been here 1.5 yrs now. I still feel like i have too much.

oh my that sounds amazing!!! yes, do go light for sure, buy stuff there, buy basics, go classic. enjoy the beautiful city of lights. i used to have a swiss boyfriend of mine living there so was there a few times before we broke up (very romantic eh? ;)) but don't remember much as always in such a haze.. :) i do remember its beauty though. very jealous! enjoy! xx

Okay, thank you! Especially in terms of the light packing - I think I can do that. And yeah, I'm not sure how we got so lucky with the apartment. I'm so excited!
ReplyDeleteFirst off let me say I just came across your blog and love it! I have enjoyed reading your posts. I am so entirely jealous of your move to Paris. It is, hands down one of my favorite cities in all of my travels. Definitely take lots of books and of course your camera. But layers is always a good thing to do. Good luck! You are very lucky!:)
